'Mā', knowledge with a prefix of 'pra' becomes pramāna
True knowledge makes one free, bestows nirvāna
Pramanā are fivefold, make things known in the drama
Atmā is unavailable to these fivefold pramanā
Knocking of the knower his ahankārā
What your sense organs can perceive is Pratyakṣā
What you know by one step inference is Anumāna
Knowing by analogy and comparison is Upamāna
Postulations made by multi step inference is Arthāpatti
Knowing by proof of absence is Anupalabdhi
All these fail to reveal Atmā
One may not say 'I know' Atmā
One may not say I don't know Atmā
One may say neither I know nor I don't know
That is the beauty of Atmā jñanam
That which was revealed by īśvara
That which is meditated in Omkara
That which is told in Upaniṣads
That when a Guru unfolds
Will free you from the folds.
Summary of the retreat that I tweet
Will remain as a treat when we read
Let us enjoy this internal sweet
Without a fear of meet and greet
Om and love from Pennsylvania street
