Tāṇḍava and Lāsya

 Tāṇḍava and Lāsya

A small dirt in the oyster shell

Causes disturbance to dwell

A beautiful mother of pearl

We love to wear and swirl

Shiva, sitting in deep meditation,

Eyes half closed in concentration

Jingling anklets heard in the wind

Disturbed laya, 'as though' assigned

Collective sanchita karma of jīvā

Coauthored this script with māyā

Māyā's shadow clouds with ignorance

Māyā's brightness shines as knowledge

Īsvarā's fearless steps is tāṇḍava

Īsvarī brings harmony with lāsya

Step and a step, there is no misstep

To understand this we need a lot of prep

They take a step in right, a step in left

Dancing in tandem, Universe is born

Karma wakes us up from sleep

Karma puts us back in sleep

Everything in Universe is in order

Anatomic order, Physiologic order

Pathologic order and Psychological order

Disorder is also a part of the order

Stop revolting against the order

Stop collecting things like a hoarder

Let go and learn to go with the flow

Then you realize you are the flow
