13. Ownership is notional


Asaktiḥ- Absence of attitude of ownership

There was an young man, 

very proud of his financial plan

He shared that he purchased a flat 

what he really own was a serious chat

 Land of that apartment

belongs to State department

Roof belongs to the person above

Floor belongs to the person below

Walls belong to the neighbors

Space is owned without labor


Asaktiḥ is absence of attitude of ownership

Body is given; Food is given

Clothes are given; Relations are given

Everything in this Universe is given; 

I own nothing; I only possess things 

Switch in the attitude is a step in dispassion

Dropping the attachment is the best motion


Ownership is notional 

Possession is factual
