7. Inner and outer purity

Śaucam Cleaning is of two fold  Which are essential to hold Bāhya-śauca is external Āntara-śauca is internal  Daily discipline of intentional cleaning Keeps body and mind well meaning External cleaning is very well known Internal cleaning needs to be shown Six impurities attack the mind They can bind and make one blind  Desire, anger, delusion and greed Pride and envy are the main breed Anger arises from obstructed desire Make the flames grow higher and higher Pain of jealousy arises from a sense of lack  Analysis releases from this dirty six pack Pratipakṣha-bhāvanā is the method Suggested as cleanser to be used Deliberate 'opposite point of view'  Make them blow from the queue Banish resentment from the mind Remove the selfishness from the grind Find the saintly love in everyone Which may be a hidden just for fun Self-condemnation is a subtle stain When removed there is major gain Body mind package follow the order Who can I condemn in this vast order? 6. Surrender and service to the teacher

    Ācāryopāsanam Ācāryopāsanam means service to the teacher It is embedded deep in the Hindu culture  Surrender and do service to the teacher  Let it be an important feature The side glance of the teacher is enough To remove the samsara slough  No service is small or large  Body and mind get recharged The one who unfolds the self-knowledge Is the true teacher to acknowledge  Choose the right teacher with great lineage  Respect the teachings along with the lineage  Surrender your personal ego to the teacher Who really needs no surrender by nature There must be no fear of exploitation Students prostrate with devotion Develop a willingness to serve  That increases grace in your reserve Serve expecting nothing in return That shows inner readiness to learn  The yearning desire brings out inquiry  The student is ultimately the only beneficiary   This is an important value to possess That itself will continue to bless...

5. Align thoughts, words, actions

4. Acceptance and Accommodation

Kṣāntiḥ Row Row Row your boat  Gently up the stream  Accept and accommodate Everything without a scream  Some may call it endurance Some may say it forbearance  They have negative connotation Better translation is accommodation  Every relationship needs that  Every encounter need not be fought Accept the blazing hot sun Accept the buzzing honey bee Respond to the person  Don't react to the action Deliberately change the attitude Avoid mechanical reaction Ahiṃsā and kṣāntiḥ are the values One must try to have as basics One may not yet have the wisdom But must have these two in the system Wrong actions are born of inner conflict Accept and accommodate without afflict This expands one's heart to be commodious Life in harmony is now melodious Inspiration - The Value of Values book- Swami Dayananda Saraswati 

3. Do no harm

  Ahimsa Adding to the value string of beads Is not to hurt by thoughts, words & deeds. Most supreme form of righteousness Let it be there in your daily business. Being vegetarian is a choice Imagine those animals have a voice! Humans have free will. To choose what to grill. You may name it fancy as veal It is really a baby cow as a meal. You may call it as pork It is really the pig on your fork. You may enjoy immensely as beef Giving the cattle a lot of grief  You pack it and process it. You disconnect and create a split.  Fancy names create the distance Knowing the truth, creates resistance. Don't eat animals as dishes Let them live, including the fishes. Inherent desire is to be free. No hurt, pain and carefree. Vegetables and plants do not flee. When you are on an eating spree. Do no harm is the value! Respecting everything is a revalue. 2. Let the false pride fall off

Adambhitvam Dambha is pretense claim to fame  For self glory, one play this game  To prevent oneself getting fried Dambha manifests as false pride  The feeling of lacking is the backing Because inadequacy is nerve wracking But limitlessness is the natural inherent All limitations are just apparent  Let the false pride dangle Let the complexity untangle  Let there be simplicity in life Let there be no more strife Accepting oneself as is freedom Absence of hypocrisy is freedom Simple mind is ready for knowledge Straightforwardness is the homage  Inspiration - The Value of Values book- Swami Dayananda Saraswati 

1. Bursting the bubble

 Amānitvam  A huge soap bubble arise from an empty suite an exaggerated opinion  demanding respect from others  Creating a slippery sense of pride  not enjoying the existing reality Mithyā's mithya, with no meaning Sense of doership that needs cleaning This is called mānitva! Bush in the forest simply blooms! Blessed with the talents, I simply exist Be the dispassion analyst to spot When mānitva pops out, burst it!
