Ekam Eva Advitiyam- One and Only Without A second

  

Let the darkness of ignorance be gone

Let the light of knowledge shine as dawn

Let us choose the right like a Swan 

Let us light the jijñāsu lamp in our lawn 

May the oil of Śravaṇam continue to flow

May the wick be lighten by the one who Know

May the lamp of Mumukśutvam glow

May this journey make us grow 

Tree and rock appear differently 

Mango and Magnolia behave differently 

Trunk and leaves functions differently 

Brahman is One and Only Without A second 

No differences between species 

No differences within species 

No differences between parts 

Brahman is One and Only Without A second 

Jīvā has six changes to backdate

Exist, be born, grow to procreate

Decay and die but again rotate

Ātmā exist nothing to predate 

Ekam Eva Advitiyam

One and Only Without A second

Light the inner lamp this second 

To dwell on that every second 

 Happy Dīpāvalī!
