Once a upon a time, there lived a beautiful woman
She is a smart and kindhearted human
She was fetching water from a deep well
She hired a deep water diver to help her out
He is a swimmer who knows the whereabouts
Knowing the approximate location
He held his breath and jumped in
He didn't waste time looking at the fishes
He didn't chase after the squeaky frogs
He was not distracted with the quality of water
He had single minded focus as a spotter
He tied himself to a rope with his nostrils closed
His senses and mind were calm and composed
His focus was clear and he found the ornament
He brought it back safe and handed it over
Well is the deep seated Antahkarana
Full of fears, desires and emotions
'As though' lost is the ananda Atmā
Diver is the Jivā tied to the Śastra
Guru, the rope gives a great grip
She finds the jewel without a slip
Vivekā and vairagyā are the qualifications
Consistent śravanam is the stable foundation
Ignoring the sweet talks and socialization
Choosing the right lineage, She moves forward
Managing speech, mind, senses and thought
The journey continues with Brahman in focus
Let the Anatmā drop on it's own
Let the mind and intellect be grown
Let the breathing be slow and steady
Let the self evident Atmā be known
Saddharshanam Class 34
